How much does it cost to paint a house?
It depends on size, surface condition, and the products you choose — which is why we quote in person, free, within 24 hours. As a guide, interior rooms and full exteriors vary widely, but every DuraCoat quote itemises prep, materials, and labour so you can see exactly where your money goes.
How long will painting my home take?
A typical interior room takes 1–2 days including prep and drying; a full house interior around 4–7 days; and a standard exterior 5–8 days depending on weather and surface condition. Your written quote includes a schedule, and we stick to it.
Do I need to move out while you paint?
Almost never. We use low-odour, low-VOC paints, seal off work areas, and stage the job room by room so your home stays livable. For exteriors, you won't be disturbed at all.
What preparation do you actually do?
Prep is most of the job: washing, scraping, sanding, filling cracks and holes, caulking gaps, spot-priming, and full protection of floors and furniture. Skipped prep is why cheap paint jobs peel in two years — ours don't.
Can you help us choose colours?
Yes — colour consultation is one of our residential services. We'll bring sample boards, paint test patches on your actual walls, and advise on finishes for each surface before you commit.
